Microsoft Publisher – this application is becoming obsolete. Jack and the IT team have asked us to stop using it. Some laptops cannot access it at all, whilst others still can at present. Please do not use this application when sharing documents with others. The best alternative is Word but Canva is a similar application to publisher for managing alternative layouts. Thank you.

Monday 5.5.25 –  ENJOY!

Tuesday – 6.5.25

URGENT HELP NEEDED – This Foundation Data is reported to governors tonight. It is definitely incomplete despite data being requested for the end of last term and reminded last week. It has meant that there was no chance of any analysis. This is also due to be collected by the MAC. I will run it again at the end of lunchtime – if you have data to add, please do so, otherwise I will assume that you have not taught that subject (in line with the rolling programme). I doubt this in all cases  – as there should not be gaps in the science data, for example. Thank you.  Foundation Data Spring 25

A significant accident occured on site at the end of the day on Friday. All staff involved must be commended for their swift actions and exemplary care and communication.
The green gate between C3 and C1 is out of use until action has been taken to prevent reoccurance. However, any of our gates on site are potential to cause the same injury. We will be producing a risk assessment regarding the gates on site. In the meantime, please ensure the following:
1) If you are the staff member to open the black exit gates for dismissal, DO NOT allow pupils past you – hook the gate before dismissing
2) Nursery gate – minimum of 2 staff needed – one goes ahead and stands by the gate until all have gone through whilst the other staff member stays at the front of the line.
More instructions and a thorough risk assessment will follow.

A call for your private prayers – this week we think of AM (St C) and her family. Her younger brother is having an operation in London, which they hope will be life saving for him. Please be very aware of AM and her fragility when she returns.
Also, please keep governor – Margaret Clemson in your prayers. She has returned to hospital for emergency heart surgery this weekend. Please be aware if you have any of her grandchildren in your classes as this has been a very difficult weekend for them all.

WAMoRAM Y3/4- big thank you to all the staff who have joined me at WaMoRaM this week both linked to year 3 / 4 and those not. I appreciate your support and the children love seeing you there ( we have clocked up 226 miles just between Mon-Thurs so far this week)

Thank you for the excellent effort with World Book Day. I heard lots of excitement, talking about the basis of people’s costumes – articularly from the youngest children. I recognise that the week feels longer when we do these events but it is all worth it and the impact on oracy, as well as reading for pleasure, is great.

Please ensure that you are using your SOAR time as we asked. If you do a book a day…write this on the poster by your door – or make it a child’s job to write it on each day. Thank you.
