Prayer theme: Rather than the themes within the planner, for the next four weeks we will have a weekly focus on the 4 advent candle themes. This works nicely as we break up so closely to Christmas day. We are working up to each candle for the following Sunday, as we do in Gospel assembly.
This week – HOPE – Class prayer – we pray for all that need hope at this time. Share the picture from the noticeboard. What personal things might people need hope for? A hope that someone becomes well; a hope that there is less suffering in places of war, etc. This theme will grow in the class liturgy.
Class liturgy – Slides send via googleslides link or trial Ten:Ten (Remember to MAKE A COPY if you are using and adapting the google slides. Thank you.)

Please can all teacher make sure that they are out at the end of lunch in good time so there is a prompt return to learning at 1pm/1:10pm.A lack of supervision at these transition times also risks pupils being injured. Thank you for your support.

School Improvement Reviews: This week – EARLY READING REVIEW

An enormous thank you and well done to the staff, MB, JC, SCa and NW, who took the Y6 pupils to Arthog. So many children had SEND or medical needs (50%), it was truly no mean feat. The opportunities provided for building confidence, resilience, friendships and memories made, as a result of your commitment, cannot be overlooked.
Thank you to AC, SH and WB for fielding multiple queries and communicating with all to ensure the visit went smoothly.
Finally, thank you to staff here too who supported these staffing absences, whilst managing heavy colds, coughs etc. Your hard work is noticed and well appreciated.

It is Tamsin’s mother-in-law’s funeral today so please remember her family in your own prayers and contact me (MB not TD) if any problems arise. TD obviously won’t be in today.
To add to her woes TD was involved in a car accident last night which has left her with a cut head and a big headache – nothing too serious but painful nonetheless.
Lots of cover issues need sorting over the next few days so please read carefully…
1/ MM out until Thursday at the earliest so….EB to support in ST Max’s today (and until Tom B returns to ST P’s).
2/ NW to cover KS1 gate this morning for entry please
3/ MM’s +Aid will need covering this lunchtime and maybe Thursday’s too. (volunteers please) JR today , NB (WEDNESDAY for JR) and EM then HB Thursday – thank you
4/ JJ to help dismiss KS2 today please , CBo with KS1 / FS teachers to dismiss their own classs please pm
5/ JR to accompany Year 5 swimming on Wednesday pm ( sorry Jo)
6/ It is the unified Football tournament on Thursday (this is a pseudo SEN/inclusive tournament) . They are deciding about the weather implications soon but we may well need JR to accompany MB between 9:30-2:30 if it still goes ahead.
From tomorrow (although the school trips will muck things up a little )….RWI to move to 11-12 each day until after the FS nativity celebration…this means the hall is available for FS 9-10 Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri and then Mon 2:15-3:15 and also times scheduled for FS PE. This should give 6 slots per week until the celebration for you to distribute as you see fit between yourselves . This looks like the best solution but see MB if we have overlooked anything. Thanks
