This week – LOVE – Class prayer – This week we focus on Love as the fourth advent candle. Through daily class prayer, we focus on those who do not experience Love at Christmas time – such as those who are home alone – the elderly, the homeless.

I recognise that staff would like these a week in advance. I will endeavor to get ahead of myself in the Christmas holiday to make this happen.

There have been a number of errors made regarding pupils who are attending ANTS Out of Hours Club. Moving forward, the following procedure will be in place:
- You received an excel spreadsheet last week (via a google sheets link) of the ANTS arrangements for your class – PLEASE PRINT THIS AND PUT IT NEAR YOUR DESK SO YOU (or PPA cover) CAN REFER TO IT AT DISMISSAL
- Follow it to the letter. If a child contradicts and says they are being collected by a parent instead, send them to ANTS and parents will have to collect from there (they have been informed of this by ANTs).
- If a child usually goes to a club on an ANTs day and that club is cancelled, they will go to ANTS (unless you have a pink slip that overrides this).
- If you are a person who takes messages from parents and they say that there is an alteration from them going to ANTS, THEY MUST BE TOLD to inform ANTs. It is not our duty to do so.
- When updates are made to the list, you will be informed.- the link you have been sent is a live link so you wil be able to see changes that have been made. You will then be expected to discard the old list and replace it with the new. The sheet version will be dated and numbered for clarity.
Safe and clear dismissal arrangements are a fundamental aspect of our safeguarding responsibility, both for school and ANTs. Therefore, we must work together effectively so as not to cause either organisation undue worry and to ensure that pupils are kept safe.

KS1 playground – removal of wooden equipment and start of installation of new items begins today. We will have to assess lunch arrangements once we see what room is available. EYFS may need to use Reception/Nursery playground.

2pm – 3pm EYFS/KS1 disco – please bring children to the hall at 2pm. At the end of the disco the lights will be switched on and children will be asked to sit in their class groups.
3:20-4:15 KS2 disco (lists will be provided of anyone who is not attending)
Please bring your class to the hall for approx 3:20pm so that all EYFS/KS1 have been safely dismissed. Parents will be invited into the hall to collect their children. They will enter via the main door, exit via the fire entrance and re-enter the building via front door to go out of the back of school. Volunteers needed to manage (i) back gate, (ii) fire exit and (iii) main entrance

A huge thanks to all of you for your help with the discos yesterday – both were successful events enjoyed by the pupils with smooth dismissal arrangements. Help is vey much appreciated. Well done to NW for her usual competitive elements and to SH for her surprising disco moves and for arranging Secret Santa!
