Prayer focus this week: We pray for those involved in Missionary Work – particularly the Columban Missionaries currently in Pakistan – helping those in greatest need from the awful flooding whilst trying to share the word of God. (Consider – do the children know what a Missionary is? A person sent on a mission to share their faith, usually in a foreign country. From the Latin Mittere – to send)

LA Baseline Assessment week this week –  All assessments must be completed during this week. There is a 2 day window of 26/27 Sept to catch up any absentees. There should therefore be no missing data (unless you have a long term absentee). The tests, spreadsheets and instructions are on the shared planning drive in the folder called ‘ Local Authority Tests’

Energy savings – MAC Directive:

  • Turn off your classroom lights when the room is not in use/when you leave the building
  • Close blinds and windows when leaving, to conserve heat energy
  • Switch off appliances (no boards should be on standby)
  • Close down laptops properly – this protects the life of the battery and prevents energy costly rebooting

Thank you

Thank you so much for the comments in the book of condolence – some made me chuckle, some highlighted the excellent prayer writing skills that some of our pupils have and they certainly demonstrated the children’s faith and hope of the promise of heaven. This book is now over at Church for the weekend and a laminated sheet of excerpt has been taken to Windsor by one of our families this weekend.

Please use the G drive access via the noticeboard rather than the file manager way on your laptop when updating spreadsheets for baseline tests as there seems to have been the possibility of synchronising problems.

Please do not put formative data from Gold Writes and Maths reviews onto DCpro- we are in the process of setting up the formative templates on Arbor. Once they are ready we will let you know so you can then input your Gold write or Review data so far
